PETA-Approved Vegan - The label for vegan fashion

peta approved vegan 800a

Black Star received the PETA Approved Vegan label in June 2019 for selected products. In our textile printery we only use colors and chemicals that are free from animal ingredients. In addition, we do not conduct any animal experiments, nor do we commission any. We try to make sure that no creature is harmed by our production.
Sometimes clothing that is free of obvious animal materials such as wool, leather or fur also contains hidden animal ingredients, especially accessories like buttons, adhesives or dyes. For the textiles we currently have 2 brands (Continental Clothing and Stanley / Stella), which carry the PETA - Approved Vegan label, more will follow. All other textiles offered by us contain to the best of our knowledge and belief no ingredients of animal origin.

Who is PETA?

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) claims to be the largest animal rights organization in the world with more than five million supporters. The organization is committed to the abolition of mass animal husbandry, fur farming and animal testing.
With its sometimes provocative and extreme campaigns against the eradication of certain species or against animal slavery in factory farming and the nude campaigns against fur PETA has caused a worldwide sensation and sometimes fierce criticism. The aim of PETA is to encourage people to think and to draw attention to the often cruel abuses in certain companies.
In order to initiate a rethinking in the fashion and the clothing industry, PETA has been honoring stylish, innovative and free from animal suffering fashion with the Vegan Fashion Award every year since 2013.

To uniquely identify garments that are free of animal ingredients, the PETA-Approved Vegan Label has been created, which allows pet-friendly companies to visually highlight their vegan fashion items as well as their commitment to the animals. For customers, the label means a clear and simple labeling of clothing that no animal had to suffer for.
