Here is an overview of selected Anvil Textiles including printing with prices.
Anvil Knitwear Inc. is a producer of high-quality sportswear and fashion accessories. They utilize a variety of different fabrics throughout their seventeen different environmentally friendly clothing lines and seventy different traditional clothing lines. Those materials include transitional cotton, organically certified cotton, and fibers produced from recycled materials (including both whole cotton and blends). Anvil Knitwear Inc. employs over four thousand people and is based out of New York City, though the vast majority of its products (over 90%) are manufactured in company-owned factories located in South America (Nicaragua and Honduras).
Anvil has been a leading textile manufacturer for over a century. Within recent years Anvil's president and CEO Anthony Corsano has worked hard to transform his venerable company into a model for all would-be environmentally and socially responsible 21st century businesses.
The Anvil Organics line provides a wide variety of clothing items made entirely from organically grown and manufactured cotton. You'll be able to select t-shirts, ring-spun tees and polos for men, women and children. The line also offers sweat shirts, hooded sweats and jackets (with a blend of polyester produced from recycled plastic bottles) in addition to accessories like totes. All of their shirts are available in a big range of sizes and colors. In addition 1% of all net profits Anvil Organic's receives from selling Green Anvil products goes directly towards environmental causes.

With their Recycled line Anvil succeeded at their goal of producing an entirely carbon-neutral shirt that is produced primarily from unused cotton recycled from the production of their standard Organic textiles.
With their Sustainable line Anvil offers clothing that's been produced using a proprietary blend of certified organic cotton and post consumer P.E.T. recycled polyester. The result are comfortable, attractive, affordable clothes that truly push the boundary of what's possible in eco-clothing.

Anvil Organics was certified through a third-party body for meeting the USDA's NOP standard for organic production. In the United States NOP certification is the standard set of rules that a producer needs to meet to be able to label their crops as 'organic.' The NOP organic certification dictates important standards on everything from production (it was grown without chemical growth agents or pest control measures, they do not contain GMOs, etc.) to processing (it was minimally processed, it wasn't treated with toxic preservatives, etc.). Anvil's organic cotton easily meets these standards.
Additionally the Anvil corporation signed on to SAI in accordance with meeting the SA 8000 standard. Corporations like Anvil that sign on for the SA 8000 agree to never use child labor or forced labor, that they won't engage in discriminatory hiring practices, that they will pay a reasonable wage and that they won't impose inhumane working hours or conditions.
Anvil Knitwear also makes sure their employees are fully taken care of by complying with the WRAP certification- the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production agreement. WRAP is a globally recognized and completely independent organization that insures all working conditions are both safe and ethical. While WRAP provides fair production guidelines across a variety of industries they were founded to bring quality standards to the clothing-manufacturing industry in the late 1990's when global attention turned to that era's often inhumane workspaces. On both the environmental and social responsibility fronts Anvil Organics meets and exceeds industry standards.
A few years ago Anvil drew up a clear and sincere statement on how they would balance their responsibilities as a corporation with their responsibilities as a global citizen. The first sign that Anvil produced a revolutionary Corporate Social Responsibility Report (CSR Report) lies in its format- they made their report a web document that could be easily searched and understood by anyone who wanted to learn more about the company. The report details the impact the company's social commitments (especially towards their employees) their environmental concerns (including how growing and manufacturing their cotton impacts our environment) and an overview of their product lines (providing information on what they produce, how 'green' their products are and the company's commitment to producing garments that are safe & healthy to wear). Overall Anvil's CSR Report is detailed without being filled with jargon, and succeeds at making transparent what's usually talked about behind closed corporate doors.

Anvil implemented further levels of transparency through their Shirt-Scan and TrackMyT features. With ShirtScan you'll be able to provide you with multimedia content that is targeted directly to you based on the shirts you choose to wear. Certain Anvil shirts will come with QR codes that connect you to bundles of content including pictures, movies and articles.
TrackMyT throws open the doors to Anvil's manufacturing process by showing the step-by-step process involved in producing an Anvil t-shirt while also providing methods individuals can implement to reduce their carbon footprint. While TrackMyT provides value and important information for anyone interested in where their clothes came from Anvil specifically designed this program in partnership with community & environmental literacy organizations to produce content appropriate for the classroom, including actual lesson plans teachers can utilize to share this information with their students.
